Step by step to recover deleted data from PC and storage devices
Step 1: Connect your storage device to computer and launch Data Recovery
Connect your storage device (it can be flash drive, memory card, digital camera, mobile phone, external hard drive etc) to your computer. Then, launch Data Recovery that installed already on your computer.
Step 2: Select recovery mode
After launching the software, you are directed to Wizard mode. In this mode, you need to answer two simple questions and the software will take over from there.
Tips: You can also select Standard Mode by clicking Standard Mode at the bottom of the interface. Here, you will be directed to an interface, where offers you 4 options, Lost File Recovery, Partition Recovery, Raw File Recovery and Resume Recovery. You can choose the one you need.
Tips: For users who use the program for the first time, it is advised to use Wizard, it will guide you through the whole process efficiently.
Step 3: Select the types of files you want to recover
You will be asked to specify the type of file you want to recover, here you have many options for your data type and select one of them. If you want to recover all types of files simply select the All File Types option in the list.
Step 4: Specify the location of your lost files
After choosing file type, you need to specify a location (such as External removable devices, Recycle Bin, Desktop and My Documents) to save your lost files.
Tips: If you can’t remember simply select I can’t remember option or I can’t find my partitions if you are unable to find the partition where your data was located.
Step 5: Deep scan or raw file recovery
You can select either Deep Scan or Raw File Recovery according to your own requirements.
Tips: If the files were lost due to formatting you should enable Deep Scan and if your files have been lost for long time you should select Raw File Recovery. These are Optional you can select or ignore them if you want to recover your recently deleted files.
Step 6: Click Start to scan
After you have selected the options of Deep Scan or Raw File Recovery, just click “Start” .
Step 7: Preview the files you want to recover
After scan, your recovered file will be show on the left panel, you can preview it before recovering. if you selected the All Files options the scanning result will be displayed in file types such as archive, audio, database, graphic, video etc. they will be displayed in separate tabs you can recover them after previewing them selectively.
Step 8: Recover your deleted or lost files
After you previewed your lost files you can simple select them and click the recover button and specify the location where you want to save your files.
